“El Paraiso” polo club was funded in 1989 by Marcelo and Alejandro Amadeo y Videla, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A traditional farm that receives tourism in addition to having a polo school, organizing polo events, city tours and tournaments.
Marcelo Amadeo y Videla (5 goal handicap), the eldest brother, shares his time between Paris and Buenos Aires, where he plays professionally the different polo seasons. He has an impressive curriculum having played in more than 10 different countries. Alejandro, on the other hand, besides playing polo he manages the club and organizes its tournaments, as he lives full time in Argentina. The Amadeo y Videla family is a traditional and has been long linked to the countryside and polo.
The club is located near Open Door, a picturesque town which, with over 30 clubs and 250 polo fields in its surroundings, is fast establishing itself as one of the World’s polo Mecca.
50 minutes away from the City, and hidden in the heart of the countryside, the Club offers a completely authentic and relaxed atmosphere, providing a perfect balance between the pleasure and tranquility of being in the countryside, playing polo, and trips to Buenos Aires – one of Latin America’s most vibrant cities - for mini tours, shopping, restaurants and night life.
